Abstract.

PhD in 1987 by the UEX and Professor of Prehistory since 2007. He teaches the subjects Universal Prehistory and Protohistory of the Iberian Peninsula and Euro-Mediterranean relations in the Degree in History-PH and shares in the MUIH the subject entitled Landscape, territory and power in Protohistory. He is also coordinator of the subcommittee of the PD in Spatial Archaeology. His research career has focused on the protohistoric cultures of Extremadura and their relations with the Iberian southwest. His archaeological interventions include La Mata (Campanario, Badajoz), Hornachuelos (Ribera del Fresno, Badajoz), Aliseda and Cerro de San Cristóbal de Logrosán. He is currently directing the project of the State Programme I+D+i-PGC "El oppidum de Fornacis en el marco histórico de la Beturia. Archaeology and heritage of a landscape of the Roman conquest" (PID2019-104505GB-I00) and the Extremadura PRI project "The rural complexes of the Salor at the time of the Aliseda Treasure: La Ayuela and La Estación" (IB20010).
