REFLECTIONS ON HUMAN RIGHTS FROM THE SOUTH

This paper aims to analyze the situation of human rights in Argentina after the end of the military dicta- torship that ruled the country from 1976 to 1982. The subsequent process, known as the democratic transition, was articulated on a series of political and social variables, included the treatment of military the repression during that period, especially with regard to judicial procedures against those involved in such practices. In other words, an analysis of similar dynamics occurred in countries that suffered similar experiences such as Uruguay and Chile, which serves to a better understanding of what happened, is shown.
