THE FAMILY AS A SPACE OF CONFLICT IN EXTREMADURA DURING THE MODERN AGE

Abstract

The development of the work related to the history of the family, women and violence in the societies of Old Regime, has shown how the relationships between those who were part of the families during the modern period were often altered By the existence of conflicts that only occasionally arrived before the different instances of the administration of justice. Our work intends to be an approximation to this subject in the Extremaduran territory during the XVI to XVIII centuries, in which we analyze the conflicts between the spouses, parents and children and who were related by other kinship ties.
