  • Rocío Sánchez Rubio, University of Extremadura

    Doctor in History from the University of Extremadura (1991) with the thesis Extremaduran emigration to the New World: voluntary and forced exclusions of a peripheral town in the 16th century, with which she obtained an Extraordinary Doctorate Award. She has been teaching at this University since 1991 in the Modern History Area and has been a Full Professor since 1997. For years she has been developing several lines of research focused primarily on private correspondence from the modern period, historical cartography, the study of social minorities and the social impact of emigration to the Indies. It belongs to the G.I. Gehsomp.
