  • José Antonio Castellanos López, University of Castilla-La Mancha

    José Antonio Castellanos López (El Bonillo, 1979) is a full professor of Contemporary History at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Castilla – La Mancha on the Ciudad Real campus and a member of the Francoism and Transition Studies Seminar. He is the author of The Democratic Transition in Castilla-La Mancha (1976-1983): Autonomic Process and Regional Construction (2007), Democratic Transition and Political Change in Ciudad Real (1967-1982), From the Organic Courts to the Democratic Parliament (2011) and of Who was who in the Transition in Castilla-La Mancha (1977-1982) (2014); and co-author and coordinator of The Province: Historical Reality and Cultural Imaginary (2016) and Crisis in 20th-Century Spain. Agents, structures and conflicts in the processes of change (2020). Until now, he has focused his lines of research on the study of the transition to democracy and political change, developing his academic work in research centers such as the Institute of History of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (Madrid), the London School of Economics and Political Science (London) or the Kellogg Institute for International Studies of the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA).
