Abstract

The purpose of the next job is to approach the study of inbreeding in the city of Murcia during the eighteenth century. In a first phase of atudy has been possible to find some 453 dispensed marriages by consanguinity. The deepning them, will help us understand, not the motive of consanguineous marriages performing, but this universal practice throughout the Modern Age.

  • Juan Francisco Henarejos López, University of Murcia

    Juan Francisco Henarejos López, is Doctor in Modern History from the University of Murcia, with the mention of International Doctor from the University of Sapienza in Rome. His thesis focuses on the study of kinship and consanguinity, as a category of analysis for the study of the history of the Family. Internationalization in their work has been essential. In 2018 he obtained the extraordinary prize of doctorate, in the section of geography, history, history of art and theology. Among his latest works: “Parentesco, consanguinidad y modelos matrimoniales en la huerta de Murcia en los siglos XVIII-XIX: La consanguinidad múltiple”, Revista: Tiempos Modernos-Revista electrónica de Historia Moderna, 30, 2014); “La ruptura de la promesa de matrimonio y el impedimento de pública honestidad.
