Abstract

Linking Families is the result of several research projects on families and social reproduction in Castile during the Ancien Régime granted to the research group Familia y élite de poder, between 2006 and 2013. It is a database designed from a Microsoft Access thet allows reconstruction of families, from an introduction nominative data. Each person associated contextual information from diverse historical source (notarial records, judicial, parish records, private letters...), Linking Families means, in essence, an ideal tool for researchers interested in family studies and social reproduction, because it makes automatic genealogies and life cycles that can be exported to other software (word processor, statistical packages and genealogy software).

  • Raquel Sánchez Ibáñez, University of Murcia

    Hired Professor Doctor of Didactics of Social Sciences. European Doctor in Modern History. In her training stage, she has been the beneficiary of a training grant for teaching and research staff from the University of Murcia (2003) and the Ministry of Education (2004) and a historical research grant from the Provincial Council of Guipúzcoa (2008). . He has enjoyed more than thirty months of research stays in centers of recognized prestige, such as the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and the School of History (University of East Anglia). During the years 2006 and 2007 he has taught at the Faculty of Letters (UMU), where he coordinated the "I Master's Degree in Direction and Management of Cultural Historical Resources". Since 2009, he has been teaching in the area of ​​Didactics of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Education. He has directed and participated in several educational research and innovation projects and disseminated his research in various academic and scientific fields. His lines of research are the didactics of history and the construction of identities and stereotypes in history in the stages of compulsory and university education.
